The wonderful thing about Oilcloth, PVC Vinyl and Acrylics is that they are Wipe Clean so unlike cotton tablecloths they don't require extensive dry-cleaning. Oilcloth has a cotton backing and is then treated with a PVC laminate. The laminate means that most spills can simply be wiped away.
One of the most common questions we receive is 'Can I put my Oilcloth in the Washing Machine?" We have put together this short video on how to clean your oilcloth. For the purposes of this post we used the Narvik Ochre Matte Finish Oilcloth.
Our range of Acrylic Wipe Clean Tablecloths have a teflon coat and at a low heat can be placed in a washing machine.
All our Wipe Clean Tablecloths are hardwearing but unfortunately nothing can stop heavy tomato-based stains such as curry sauces and pasta sauces. If there is a spill we always recommend wiping off immediately.
